So I just moved here over the weekend, what is there to do around here other than try to stay cool

I'm right across the river from you in North Augusta.
There is a local vette club, Casual Corvettes, but I'm not a member.

So far I've done everything myself in the driveway except mount tires and alignments, and for that it's the Firestone place on Broad St.If I had to take it to a local dealer for warranty work my first choice would be the one on Gordon Hwy, then Edgefield, then Aiken, then somewhere in Columbia, then somewhere in Atlanta, then maybe, if I was really in a pinch, just maybe I'd go to the place on Washington Rd.

Welcome to Augusta! We've been here about two years and I generally do the work on my Vette also. I hosted a couple of Mod Days a while back just as an excuse to get together and do a little wrenching. When I do need to take it to a shop I've used Butler Automotive in Martinez.

Great track and there are a few vettes out there. I have not been out runnng in a bit, and I need to get out there Thursday and make some passes before Richmond Saturday...Casual Corvettes is a good club and they do lots of cruises. Great folks too

They've held all vette bracket races there as part of the Carolina Corvette Challenge series, but I don't think they have any scheduled to be in Jackson any time soon.

The Casual Corvettes club meet the first Thursday and third Saturday of each month. This time of year we do Sonics on the first Thursday and cruise to some place to eat on the third Saturday. We have a pretty diverse group that like to do everything from car shows to road racing to drag racing. We do cruise-ins like at Greensboro, Washington and Elberton, GA. In the fall we like to got to the AMS to run the oval with Corvettes against cancer. You are only limited by your time.
