There is an active corvette club in Albany. There is also a classic/street rodders club in that area as well (they normally do a car show at the Albany Mall each year around September/October). It is going to be a big change for you compared to Jacksonville though.
Our corvette club in Valdosta has crossed paths with several of the Albany club members at various shows/events in our area. Pretty good group of folks from our experiences.
