*****VA 1/4 mile Track Rental Friday, November 9th sign up thread******
Ok Ladies and Gents, I need to get at least 25 vehicles at $100 each.
I thank all of you in the past for your good behavior, that allows this to continue to happen.
Worse case if we don’t get enough vehicles ……. I will refund everyone’s money ASAP....Based on the previous demand this should be a non issue.
So, if all goes well we will be SIDE BY SIDE RACING ON FRIDAY November 9th, from 9am till 3pm at Richmond Dragway once again
Gates will open at 8am on Friday and we will begin running at 9:00 am.
Please bring your own shoe polish for dial ins for the quick 8 and bracket race.
Right now I can't guarantee any awards like last time....... but bragging rights are a good start!
6 hours of racing
Concession stand will be open at noon
They will prep the track at least 100 feet in each lane for the day and keep it up!
This Track Rental would be a great chance to learn how to race/ tweak your car in a laid back no pressure environment.
Some rules:
REMEMBER, when picking up your time slips through the day from the bottom of the tower, if you won take the white original, if you lost take the yellow copy PLEASE!
I will have a quick drivers meeting near the tower just before 9am, it will be announced on the PA system.
I will also have Drag racing 101 for the 1st timers at the xmas tree right after the drivers meeting
Please make sure you and anyone with you signs the back of your tech card!
PLEASE BE AWARE OF WHERE YOU PARK, don't block anyone in.......PLENTY OF ROOM!
If you have any questions come find me………..it will be easy as I will have my fire jacket on with my forum name

You can bring 3 people per car (including driver) at no extra charge!
NO OTHER SPECTATORS ALLOWED
NO GLASS ALLOWED, but bring anything you want to eat/drink except participating drivers and crewmembers are strictly prohibited from consuming and using drugs and alcoholic beverages.

Our rain date policy……..Worse case you get your full $100 back if we can’t reschedule!
If it rains out before we get started nothing will be due by anyone and we will try to work out some way to hopefully reschedule - a rain out during the event, we will pro-rate the $$$ over how many hours you got to run versus the 6 scheduled hours!
I never cash any of the checks until after the race in case we get rained out.

Steve, I am in, I think, depending on work due to it being a Friday. Few questions:
1. It sounds like we will actually do some racing, on average how many passes can we expect even if we are out first round?
2. Also if I bring two cars but I am driving both do I have to pay $100 for each vehicle. (going to look at another vette tomorrow to buy so I'll need to test it on the track.)
I'll probably get you the money on Saturday

You can get at least 30 passes in, its open track until I usually do a quick 8 around noon, brackets at 1 and then its open running again till 3ish.......
As for 2 cars.........Each car must have a number and have a tech sheet just like our regular race days.........we can discuss though

Steve, I hope to have my new project together and able to go. This date gives me a reason to get off my lazy butt and finish it up. Hope to make it. Its always a fun time.
