Hey guys, just figured I would let everyone know that if you dont have a front tag on your car, that there is a State oinker sittin on 64 at the 664 interchange waitin to hand out tickets for it. I got one today. Havent been online to pay it yet, but I dont have the tools to put the plate on, so I might just leave it off until I leave. Just a heads up for anyone that travels that road without a front tag.
Aren't you headed off to basic soon? Make sure you notify your recruiter. I know the AF takes it seriously and there are waivers involved.
I know it's UGLY guys, but it IS the LAW. Put the plate on and save yourself the aggravation. The Va State Police (henceforth to be known as The Va State Revenue Collectors) really don't need to be encouraged....
Had you gotten a warning before Matt? It's unusual for them to give you a ticket the first time.
Nope, first offense for this. But, Wayne, I am not going to say it wasnt my fault. I know the rules/laws in Virginia, and I know that I am supposed to have one. I chose not to, therefore it is my fault. Although, I do think it was kind of ridiculous that he had to pull out in traffic and chase me down just to give me a ticket for that when I wasnt speeding or anything. But, if he wants to waste his and my time for stupid sh** like this, its his perogative.
Dang, that sucks...good thing I am a procrastinator, I keep meaning to buy a front cover for my car (where the tag goes) but have not done it yet...I guess it will stay on...don't need a ticket.
Did you know that 170Mil of the Commonwealths revenue this year is from Fines, etc. So if you don't break the law, you'll deny them part of their operating budget.

Yeah, but then who would pay for all the piggies to sit on the interstate and pull me over for stupid stuff like this? Its a vicious cycle but it works!
A bit of advice: I was stopped twice by the same Trooper (once he turned around on a 4 lane divided highway to come after me ) and he gave me a warning the first time and a lecture and warning the second time. He also told me that Cops LOOK FOR CORVETTES with no front tag.
So....you have been warned, we are in the bulls eye!
I was also told it's $75 plus court cost but no points.

Matt
That's my point. 2 years of everyone complying with the law and they'll start losing money for funding....
Lifes been good, got a new GF and couldn't be happier.
How about you?
Same here bro. Her name is Jess and she is shorter than you are, if you can believe it lol. I have only been seein her for about a week now, but its all good.

Yeah, I guess obeying the law would be a bit wiser of a decision. But they look so ugly with the tags!

is that possible?
So does not front plate fall under the new $15billion dollar fees you get with a ticket?
One of the few benefits of living in Pennsylvania is no front tag. But I still can't drive in Virginia. Something about a radar detector fine I forgot to mail them in 1986. They promised to issue a warrant if I didn't pay. Don't know if that ever happened, or if it is still valid anyhow, but not going to find out. But you all are welcome to drive here without the ugly tag.
God, I really don't miss that place at all! Worst place in the Navy to be stationed! Bridges, tunnels, traffic and Norfolk Naval Shipyard all wrapped into one! I can safely say that place was more expensive than Hawaii--Virginia has more taxes and rules/regulations than any place on the planet.....I'm not kidding!
I watched Norfolk's finest pull a line of Vette's one year leaving our Waterside event........all w/o front plate and all got a nice love note.
I have always run my fronts.........but I am still trying to get the law changed
