It would make for a nice cruise........
I've done that cruise myself before many times. I'm in NoVa, so I've taken a slightly different route - Capital Beltway (Route 495) to Route 50E, over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, Route 404 (Seashore Hwy) directly to Sonic. It's a beautiful cruise route!
After I visit Sonic, I head to the coastline to visit the beaches/little towns down Route 1 Coastal Hwy (Lewes, Rehoboth, Bethany, etc) until I hit Ocean City, then I hop on Route 50 and come right back. There's a sign just when you get on Route 50W that reads "Sacramento, CA - 3,073 miles" that I have a pic of somewhere...
Here is where this cruise can make things interesting.
Kerbecks Toys for Tots is November 3rd in Atlantic City which is a major event (they are hoping for 1000 cars). With this cruise on Sunday we could run up to Atlantic City on Friday night, do Kerbecks on Saturday, stay in AC on Saturday night, do the Delaware cruise on Sunday and run back home from there?
I know that there is a Dyno Day already scheduled for November 3rd as well as a car show at the Veterans Hospital. I'm just throwing this out to see if there is any interest.
I am pretty sure I will be out of the net that weekend. My new job has me working on Saturday so I will keep an eye on things for that weekend but I won't be able to do much until atleast saturday afternoon.
Sounds fun and I have been up 13 many a times, but I will actually be heading South for a gig on the 4th.
That is a busy weekend, as Wayne has mentioned. There is already Kerbecks <sp>, a Dyno Day, and a Veterans show that weekend.
Although if I could get all four Vette events, both rehearsals and my gig in all in the same weekend, that would be some major fun spirited driving time.
Anyone still plan on going? Looks like there are going to be some people coming down from PA and NJ. Should be a nice turnout. Weather is supposed to be nice......
What time is the event? I'll be heading back down after Kerbeck and could pass thru that area. Just want to be back in Richmond to watch the Eagles/Cowboys game at 7:45 pm.

You would be home in plenty of time to see the cowboys win.
