Hey I need some help with where to live in this area or some advice at least. Want to live within 10-15 minutes of Ft Belvoir and have around 2000-2500 to spend a month in rent for a 3 bedroom apartment or house. Here is the kicker. I need a garage!! Any suggestions?
I am in IOF at the moment but I will be home next month. I live in that area and I can say it is very nice but very expensive. If you are looking to rent then I recommend a townhouse. There are some very nice townhouses with garages. If you are looking to buy, then look to around $450,000+ for a decent house. Housing ain't cheap but it's getting better. My sister-in-law is a realitor so she can probably point you in the right direction. I will be working at DA so if you need anything give me a buzz.
Stay in VA the taxes are less. Good luck on the 15 min drive. Depending on your housing/school requirements you are realistically looking at 45 min at best.
Drive north from Belvoir up Telegraph rd. to S. Kings hwy.
There is an older subdivision off Vantage drive that often has some small homes for rent. You may find one there in your range.

Google the real estate in the Kingstowne area. While us natives used to 4-wheel in the area, it is now heavily developed and within 10-15 min of Ft. Belvoir.
From Kingstowne, which most of it is 15 yrs old or less, you can then get an idea where you want to go - some places are nicer than others
