Bradenton area?
Should be picking up my first vette next weekend(depending on shipping semi). Wondering if theres any meets/clubs around, bradenton/sarasota even tampa? Tried the gulfcoast club site, but didnt find it very useful.
I dont wanna seem like a jackass pulling up in a modded vette to my old srt friends lol.

THis area sucks for corvette clubs. I need more than monthly meetings to belong to a club. Tampa B
ay Vettes is a large active Club and meet at Ferman's Chevrolet in Brandon. Venice has a nice club too. I can't tell you about Sarasota.
I've made the acquaintenances of several local vette lovers and we meet occasionally informally to hang out, eat, cruise, party, help one another.
In addition to CF, try www.CorvetteFlorida.com for local Florida events. Membership is free and set up very similar to this Forum. I have the same name on that website. Feel free to pm me anytime on CF or CorvetteFlorida. If you want to meet for lunch, I'll call a few of the guys and we can all get together. We like the Boiler Room on Manatee Ave. Give me a shout sometime. Mark

Sounds good to me. Yeah i googled anything with bradenton/manatee/sarasota with corvette, an came across the corvetteflorida site. Pretty much what you described is what i did, i knew 3 guys in bradenton with srts, we go to ones house chill..work on the cars. still gonna shoot the **** with them, but also like to hangout with people who drive the same car. first vette so any knowledge is good knowledge.

Yeah i hear ya. Im kinda lucky in a way and not in a way. Got into a nasty accident in july, almost killed me, and ****ed up parts of my body. Got a nice settlement, so im just gonna put the basic boltons on an be done. Also couldnt pass up the price of the car.

A few of us met up a couple weeks ago at 75 and 64 and caravaned over to Sebring for the races. May need to drive to St. Pete or Tampa for some events. Car show at Beef O'Brady's this saturday Lakewood ranch and 64.
Corvette challenge at Bradenton raceway was a fixture for the last couple of years.
You could always arrange something yourself for this area. What about a meet for the Speed channel taping at Bradenton raceway this Thursday and Friday? The name of the show is "Speed Pass" or something like that.

Corey, congrats with new vette. I know several people in Gulf Coast vette club and Skyway vette club in Sarasota. Kinda slow around here right now. The NCRS (national corvette restoreers society) is having a great vette show,swap meet and judging event for 3 days Jan. 11-13in Kissimmee. Vettes everywhere!!! James (2-1966 427's and a 1959)
