Looks like the launch is delayed until Saturday night at the earliest. Default plan for Friday is to make a run up to DaytonaUSA. Staging the caravan at Eckler's parking lot. Departure about 11 a.m. Join us if you're in the area, waiting for the Endeavor to launch!

Scrubbed again!!!

We went out onto the beach this evening (Tuesday the 4th) to try and catch a glimpse of the postponed shuttle launch. Though obviously not as spectacular as watching it from Cocoa Beach, I understand it can be seen from the Hilton Head coast.

At the last minute, it was scrubbed AGAIN!!

I guess we just weren't meant to see STS-108 go up!! :cuss

Wish I could be there to wait it out with y'all Mark. Just too much on the agenda at the office this week to break free again.

I know what you mean Jim....I'll be conducting a class if/when it goes off today....maybe if I finish a little early, I'll watch it from my rear view mirror as I head back to Tampa.

Had a great time when y'all were down and maybe it could another big cruise down if y'all'd like to attend race Rock II :D

I still hope to see a night shuttle launch. Maybe I'll luck out and one will be scheduled about the same time as Race Rock II! :yesnod:

Walked to the beach last nite to see the Shuttle take off :)
It was pretty cool - but sure wish it had lifted off when we were there!

Our day WILL come

That's

I was going to watch on TV, but I got distracted at the office and missed it. Saw the replay on the news later. Looked like it wasn't quite a night launch. Kind of a twilight launch. But still, spectacular! "Let Freedom Roar!" :yesnod:

Here's my pics...
I was about 30 miles away, so they're mostly just vapor-trails.

Sorry I missed the group. :(

I was at work, and had less than a minute to get the camera out of my car and start snapping. It was a bit too far away for really good shots, but they're good enough under the circumstances.

I would like to thank Jim Willis and Milton Isles for their emails about the first launch attempt. Too bad it was posponed. Thank you, anyway.
