Calling Bluewasp!
Yo Waspie.......how hard is it to put a set of headers on a C5?
All day job? Lift required? Lots of beer, blood, and cussing?
Yes.......I'm thinking about it!

Do you
need a lift or will that just make things easier?

It def makes it alot easier. They all go in from the bottom. some are easier than others. You can prolly do it without a lift, but you have to get the car pretty far up in the air to get the headers under it.

It should be pretty doable on a set of ramps.

Lift will make it easier.
That said I have installed 1/2 a dozen sets with the car on jack stands.
What brand are you planning on using? Maybe we can help you with some tips.

I am open to suggestions. This area is totally unknown to me. I have had recommendations of LG Streets and American Racing Headers.

Both excellent products and very easy installs. The old saying, you get what you pay for holds true here.
Both systems took into consideration maximum power AND the ease of installation when they were designed.
I have the LG Pro series on my C5 and like them. Easy install, nice quality product. I have heard the American Racing product is high quality as well.

I run 1 7/8 American Racing on my car. I recently ran over a boulder and crushed a couple driver's side primaries. Nick made up just that side for me. They are a great company to work with.

I have four c5 header installs under my belt. A lift makes it much much eaiser.
I wouldn't buy the LG headers.

Where do you guys find lifts to do this work? Looking at doing a full exhaust on my C6.
Thanks

Glad to see you finally woke up!
OK....so what brand do you recommend? I value your opinion when it comes to parts.
You still got a lift right? I guess the hardest part is breaking loose the stock exhaust manifolds huh?
