Here is some info on one in Maggie Valley that is close to Gatlinburg.
About 1.5 hour drive or less.

Hi Everyone, I want to send you an update on our 2008 "Vettes in the Valley" Corvette Show to be held May 24 & 25, 2008 here in beautiful Maggie Valley, NC. The show will be bigger and even better this year. I am waiting on written confirmation from the title and other sponsors to start putting out flyers, etc. The application form is being revised now and will be available on the web site, www.smokyevents.com January 2, 2008. We have been working very hard to improve the judging process and assure consistency. Once that is finalized, I will send a copy of the judging criteria to everyone who registers for the show. I really appreciate the ideas, suggestions and input some of you so graciously sent me when I requested it. I also appreciate the fact that all of you who sent me e-mails thought the show was great and had the potential to be the best in the southeast.
We have several additional Specialty awards to include: Best paint; Best Interior; Best presentation; Most patriotic and Best add ons/modifications. We will continue to have trophies for 1st Place in C-1 through C-6 and awards for at least the 2nd and 3rd place in C-1 through C-6, as well as the Mayors Trophy, the Wade Reece Memorial Trophy, trophy for the Corvette coming the farthest distance, trophy for the Corvette club bringing the most Vettes There will be trophies for "Peoples Choice" and "Participants Choice". We will be asking each club that attends to supply a judge, if they choose.
The Poker Run, Ladies "Shop Til You Drop" Poker walk, Corvette Parade, music, raffles, door prizes and more vendors will continue as in past years. This year "Fast Vette" is doing a "Corvette Wear " Fashion show. They will need men and women models, so if you are interested, let me know.
2008 is the Bi-Centennial year for Haywood County (here) and they are planning lots of events. Saturday evening, May 24, 2008 is the big Street Dance/ Outdoor Party and they will have special areas for "CORVETTE PARKING ONLY". Also, on Monday, Memorial Day there will be a big parade featuring military units as well as local units and a "Fly Over". It will be a great weekend.
I really hope to see you all here in Maggie in May - I promise it will be worth the trip. If you have any questions, please call me at 828-734-9126.

I believe the Reeder Chevrolet Corvette Show (Knoxville, TN) is scheduled for Sunday May 18th this year - I'm sure one of the ETCC members on here can verify. Its absolutely worth the short trip from Gatlinburg.
