Corvette Trivia - Test Your Knowledge!
A little Corvette trivia to start the week....
You Metrolina Corvette members pay attention - you may see this question again at a party where you can win money!!!
In 1995, Scott Brayden was the Pole Winner of the Indy 500. 1995 was also the year of the lowest production of Corvette Pace Cars
How many Corvette Pace Cars were produced and what was the RPO package number?
Of those, how many were offered as a museum delivery?
How many Corvette Pace Cars were offered to the public?
What unique 1 of 1 vehicle was produced using the same paint scheme and offered to the pole sitter of the Indy 500?
Was the vehicle awarded to the pole sitter?
Who won the Indy 500 in 1995?

527 built 87 used as festival cars and 20 for Canada and export leaving the remainder for public sale
Museum delivery wasn't available until 2001
Jacques Villeneuve was the winner
Jim Perkins drove the pace car
No clue on what the 1 of 1 was, maybe a Silverado? I don't know if it was accepted either.

It's Scott Brayton, not Brayden.

You're on a role but it wasn't a Silverado. Check our BJ Auction historical results for a clue.

Sorry for the spelling. Care to offer more insight on the driver and the results of the race for our other listeners?

Yea, Scott Goodyear was black flagged for passing the pace car on the restart, but he refused to come into the pits and was not scored. That gave the win to Villeneuve.

And he died at Indy the following year.
I also remember seeing that he had a Shelby Cobra with a Buick Indy Turbo V-6 shoved in it somehow. I bet that was a wild ride!!

1995 was not the lowest production Pace Car at 527. 2007 had only 500,
2008 will also have only 500.
