The Nashville Corvette Club will make our annual trek to Beech Bend for Test and Tune Drags on March 1st from noon-5:00. We'll gather in the Big K parking lot at I-65 and Long Hollow Pike and depart there at 10:30
We usually take 10-15 but hope some of our Forum folks will go up with us again this year to have more Vettes running.
Do you guys stop and get a hamburger or something on the way or go straight there?
We normally head straight to Beech Bend and grab a burger there between runs. Afterwards, we head to Longhorn or some place similar to eat, boast and toast.
Weather Update:
Rain ending this afternoon, Sat clear and 50. Good potential that we will have a negative DA tomorrow. This rarely happens at Beech Bend and should make for some great times. Should be a great day for racing!
Yep, about 20 of us caravaned up. Also ther were alot of cars there. Many had traction problems. I went a 13.1 @ 110 in the C5, but felt like a fish out of water racing a 6sp......
Great day, fun was had by all. The road poet was all over taking pictures. I had a few taken. I ran just three times with two runs very close. 12.1 and 120mph. My tires hooked up better than most. I can't wait for the cone season to open. So many cones and so little time. Some day I hope to learn how to drive around them.
