[VA Ratpack] Something for the spring time
What do you all think of this route that Wayne posted?
http://www.sloneservices.com/orion/C...ville3Mtns.htm
April 19th looks like one of the few empty days in terms of vette events for April/May.
Start/End point would be located in Culpeper.

John,
I'd be in and I'll help you plan the day if you want. Remember these dates are already taken.
April 12-Waterside
April 26-C5/C6 Bash
May 3-Richmond NASCAR
May 10-Corvette Challenge
May 24-Maggie Valley
I also can't make it on April 5, I wouldn't be available to leave Fredericksburg until after noon on the April 19th.
Of course we could do something on a Sunday possibly.

I'm game.......since it's right in my back yard!
You might want to try to do something on a Saturday and then when we get back, we could do the Burger King weekly cruise-in in Mansassas. If you have never been, it's quite a show

Hows the 17th of May sound? Looks like there is a free weekend in there.
BK sounds fun. I can't wait for those to start back up.

John,
Here are a couple links to routes that I found that some motorcycle groups have used.
Sperryville - 3 Mountains - 120 Miles, 2.75 hours
This loop will take you up and then back down both sides of three mountains, with some scenic countryside riding in between.
http://www.sloneservices.com/orion/C...ville3Mtns.htm
This page lists some potential routes starting in Culpeper all which sound interesting with some nice places to stop along the way.

I would be up for this also but I am returning on May 17 from my cruise that is causing me to miss the Skyline run...

If you schedule it between 18 Apr and 2 May there is a high degree of probability that I can go along. After that, it'll be July.

It looks like the two weekends that would allow the most people to come will be in April on the 19th or the 26th
I like the route Wayne posted that starts in Culpepper and takes you in a big loop, but would you all like to go along the actual Skyline Drive? I think there's better areas for pictures and stuff along there than any where else.
Also how long of a drive are you all interested in, what time of day (end early afternoon for a late lunch or start early afternoon/midafternoon and end around 5 or 6 for dinner somewhere)?
I know of a couple places along 211 that looked good, but they didn't start serving until 4.
Just getting a little more input. I'll start organizing it and setting up at the end of this weekend.
