there are some hotels near Busch gardens but they are all pretty much the same in quality. However, I would recommend that you drive down the road about 30-45 minutes and stay at Virginia Beach. As for other attractions like I said there is VA beach near by. Also there are alot of civil war battle fields and cruising spots near the Gardens in williamsberg. I am sure someone will chime in with more exact locations and activities.

If you stay in VAB just so you know it's a little further than 30-45 minutes. It's more like 60 miles but traffic sucks on 64.. If you choose to stay at the Beach be prepared for it to take more than an hour to reach Williamsburg.
The Hotels right there Kingsmill are very nice, I'm not sure if the New Town area has a hotel or not yet. I'm going to the burg here next weekend I'll check out what is new..
Is money an issue? If not Stay at Kings Mill. They have an awesome spa for the ladies and excellent golf of the men. Williamsburg also has a huge outlet mall for shopping. If you have kids you could always stay at Great Wolf Lodge which is an indoor water park/hotel all in one. You can find anything you like within a 30 to 45 minute drive from Williamsburg. Just depends on your interests.
When we do Vette cruises some folks like the Duke of York. Only about 15 miles from Wmsbg and 3 from our house. Nice and laid back with a pub in staggaring distance and you can jump on the colonial parkway and drive to Williamsburg. http://www.nps.gov/colo/parkway.htm
I would order a free travel guide.........http://www.virginia.org/
If its not in there, slim chances it exists!
Good luck on your picks
