My 7 year old son and I are going to drive up Saturday from the Ft Laud area to watch the shuttle launch .

I planned on parking near Ecklers in Titusville to get a good view.

ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS of a good place to park and wait????

I realize it usually gets crowded up there. We plan on getting in the area around 12 noon. Is that too late/early for a decent spot?

Any and all suggestions are always welcome
Thanks...

Anywhere in Titusville is good just be prepared for a lot of traffic.

It was great! We parked about 1/4 mile north of Hwy 50, on US 1--right on the river.
We actually got back on I-95 at 5:45--only 45 min after the launch. I thought that was pretty good, considering the crowd and all of the traffic.

We enjoyed the trip also and it was quite an experience to see a launch in person.

Sorry we missed you. The Corvette Club of the Palm Beaches went up as a group and parked on the river just west of the port. There were about six vettes parked on the road, we had a tent, binoculars and chairs.
