Are you going to Surburbans at Carlisle??

Take the Vette, It's a nice drive plus if you pre-register for the fun field you get to park closer!

Plus haven't you seen gas prices?!?!

Yes, lots of us are going.

Yes, you should drive the vette.

Yes, park in the fun field.

there's usually a thread in the National events forum here that list the CF meetup/group-picture time.

You need to drive the Vette. Weather at that time of the year is nice, except for last year on Satruday evening

The drive to Carlisle is fantastic with all the Vettes waving at each other it's alot of fun

usually not.

sometimes somebody gets some people together, but from what I remember the last few years... we just trickle in as our work schedules permit.

It's not like you need directions or somebody who's been there before...Just get on 81 north and when you get close, you'll see the big electric signs telling Carlisle car-show traffic where to go.

Just get the specifics from wherever you are staying...

And get the hotel early. The first year I went I waited until 3 weeks before to get a hotel and ended up staying 43 MILES (yes, 43. I was almost in Maryland) away because each and every hotel room any closer was booked. [now I've got a cousin in Hershey Pa, = Sweetness. pun intended ]

Yeah I don't need directions my job requires travel quite a bit so i'm pretty road savvy Was just curious if a caravan headed up on such and such date.

If i do go i'll be my first so that's the reason for all the questions

Any certain place I should request when parking in the fun field?

a fun field pass just gets you in the gates. they will have ushers waving you into the next available space.

- Don't worry if it seems like your going into the next county to park. - It's still closer than you'd get if you were outside the fence, and the walk through the acers of corvette-only parking is part of the event.

they DO have a couple of reserved areas for limited addition vettes... a ZR1 area, a Callaway area, and even an Indy pace-car area. you could swing into one of those if you've got one, but like I said, walking the FIELD is part of the FUN (thus the name) so I suggest you just follow the crowd and enjoy.
