Default [MC] Fun Run to Saluda Aftermath

What a day the Metrolina Corvette Club had! Thanks to Ken and especially to Jeff for putting together another great day of Corvette riding with friends and a great lunch stop in Saluda. Fun was had by all. My photos are posted in the photobucket account. Here's one that I just had to put on the Forum. Once again, Linda framed a great shot!

Looks like you guys and gals with Metrolina Corvettes had a great time!. Some of the roads I recognize - some appear new but the scenery was awesome by the pics I'm seeing in the account. Anyone shoot any video?

I say anytime you can take that many people to a motel - you've had a great day! hehehehehe

Linda - great photo framing!!!!

What a beautiful day for a drive in the mountains. Marge and I had a great time. Jeff and Ken, great job organizing and executing this event. As an old friend of mine once said, "It ain't easy".

I just posted some pictures on our Photobucket web site.

Let's all get together at the Dixie Tavern on 7/25. Details are in Brian's note on this forum. We can relive today's fun and talk about our next adventure.

Thanks to Ken and Jeff for a wonderful drive through Saluda and the "Green" River gorge (looked red to me). Boy was it hot! Thank you Metrolina Corvettes.
When I left the group on 74 and turned left, I had intended to go straight into Old Fort. But,when I got to the Old Fort turn off on 9, I decided to go straight on into Black Mountain on 9. What a road! Then to top off the drive I went up 80 to the Parkway. My new tires got another workout to finish the day.

Thank you, Jeff, for taking the lead. We all have to thank Mother Nature for an outstanding day to cruise in a Vette on roads developed just for Vettes. As soon as I figure out how to post the videos, I'll have them up.

Jeff, you were the star on this one! Great job putting it all together and very nice delivery.

I thought it was amusing that in a particular string of nearly 10 days, Saturday was the only day with zero % chance of rain. How was that for good club timing?

And as I guess can be expected, we had our share of automotive carnage but thankfully it was only bad parts, everyone was very safety concious and once again that paid off as a wonderful day without any incidents.

Thanks to the new faces that decided to give Metrolina Corvettes a closer inspection by coming along for the day. We enjoyed having you and I know I'm joined by all of our regular faces in welcoming you back anytime. We certainly hope you had a good time.

MC members, you did it again! Chalk up another fun and successful club event!

80 is one of my favorite roads of all time. We will be hitting it on a run sometime in the fall.

Default Thank You Mc

I'm Glad all of you had a good time even though I left my route laying on the table in Belmont it went fairly smooth. (By the way I went by the visitors center yesterday and the clipboard was still laying on the table) Thanks again for letting me lead such a great group of cars. Heck Lunch was even good this time too. I'm going to call the Cafe' and thank her for their warm welcome and great food.

We missed all of you regular members that for various reasons did not get to come. I hope to see you soon

I really missed not being able to go. I had been waiting for this one for quite a while. It's wonderful to know that everyone had a great time. Now for me to hobble over to the photobucket account and see what I missed.

Ok... I've been to photobucket and now I know for sure you guys had a great time. Here's the public account so everyone can enjoy the fun.

We're hoping to make the next event with everyone. We have some family issues that will most likely take us away for a while but hope to get back in the swing of things shortly. Glad everyone had a great time!
