Well it looks like I'll be without the GS for the next two or more weeks while the body shop fixes it up. :( . Watch it be great weather for the next few weeks including the Hooters trip :mad . Guess I'll just have to buff up the old Impala :D . :seeya
Leo, it won't be as nice with out that GS sitting in the parking lot, but the impala.... that isn't a bad car. (At least it has a vette engine)
With some luck, maybe you will have the GS by the dyno day. I am interested in the #s on your car!

A little Bondo, a little sandpaper and a little blue paint and I could have had you on the road the same day :D
Bondo: $8.95
Sandpaper: $4.65
Blue Paint: $1.95 (Spray Kan)
Cost of Jack signing the undercarriage of the GS at 120 MPH: Priceless
It still might be cheaper to get the shop to repair it, besides I wouldn't want to take away from your quality time with certain neighbors.
Ed, I hope to have it back for the Dyno day but I don't want to rush the job, it seems like a good place to get it fixed. I saw a Vette he was sanding and prepping to paint. Nice quality job.
European Bodywerks in Chesapeake. I looked at a couple of their cars and they appear top notch. We'll see in a few weeks. They estimated the cost at about $600 to repair and repaint. I am going to try and go by to take some pictures as they progress on the repairs.
Yea, did you just go do it, or did you drive it to work today. I bet that was fun on the secondary streets. :D
I have had so much fun in the 4wd truck these past two days. Kinda make my own roads out there where the snow plows haven't gone yet. I'll leave the vette nice and dry for now!
Washed it down with warm water. There was no way I was going to attempt to take the Vette out today. We ended up with about 9" of the white stuff and it froze solid out in the street. Took the wife's minivan out and that was fun enough.
Chris,
Thanks for the information. They both seemed like real nice people. My adjuster knows them and said I would be pleased with the results. Thanks again.
Ed and Dave,
What you guys afraid of a little snow?? I had to run the Impala up and down the street to pack it down so I could get the GS out of the subdivision. Once out of the subdivision the roads were generally in good shape. I got the car dirty as all heck but I'll clean it to no end once I get her back. I think my analogy I used with the wife had her laughing so hard the other night, I explained having the GS damaged was like your first born son having his leg broken. She about spit coffee all over the place and just shook her head.
:seeya Leo
Best of luck! Let me know how the paint goes, since I'm thinking of having some work done in the spring. Oh, and if you ever find out who did it... :boxing.
