Tom Jumper closed?????
My wife just got back from nthe body shop and when she was there, the owner told her that Tom Jumper Chevrolet closed its doors today at 2pm. Apparently they are affiliated with Bill Heard Chevrolet, which shut down suddenly yesterday.
Has anyone else heard this??????

Didn't know Tom Jumper Chevrolet was affiliated with the Heard group. I got a coffee cup with their name on it.

Another not so straight dealer bites the dust. Some years ago, a dealer in KC had an inventory problem with GMAC. Seems he had some 2 year old cars in his NEW inventory and still on his GMAC dealer finance. They had him shut down and gone in 2 days.

My brother started working at a Tom Jumper dealership soon after we moved to Georgia in 2007. And when the news broke that everything was being closed down, we was all kinda shocked. I mean, i've never heard too many bad things about T.J., or maybe it's because at the time i really didn't care and wasn't paying attention. But now he works at Ed Voyles and everything seems to be ok. But with Chrysler being in such a "fragile" state, who knows what may happen.

If I was selling cars right now I would either try to get hired with Toyota or Ford. Why? Toyota is the #1 producer and seller in the world and domestically Ford is on the best note with Uncle Sam, which is more than GM and Chrysler can say.
