Took my car in to Koons to get a water leak fixed; which they did. However, their porter service does not understand how a 2005 Corvette operates, since it was not in reverse. The battery died. Unfortunately I got off work late and got there after hours. My wife managed to pay for the serivce and get the keys earlier in the day.
I got it jump started by roadside assistance. Has this happened to anyone else?
I don't have a C6 so I've not encountered that issue, but I know the corvette mechanic (Joe Malo) fairly well, and he knows how I feel about other people driving my car. He always is the one to take my car in and out of his service bay, and he parks it outside himself (away from the porter area) where I can drive it out myself after payment/key pick-up. I suggest you ask for the same courtesy

Joe is one of the good ones, and generally Koons treats customers pretty well. don't hesitate to get back to the service manager and let him know you ran into problems. I've had mostly positive experience at koons, and 100% plus with Joe!!

I would definitely report this to management. They should be made aware of this so that it doesn't happen again.

Next time, see if you can request Joe Malo to work on your car. I know that he is trained to work on all Corvettes, including C6s. His service writer is Bill Appel.
I did report it to their customer service rep Amy Collins and she was more than helpful. From my past bad experiences with other dealers and Chevy customer service; Amy is Great!
