Default Hampton Roads/Ratpack...we need to do something...ANYTHING

I am bored as hell and need to get some Vette action going on. I am severely overworked, grossly underpaid, have no money, and spend all my free time at rehearsals...the winter blahs have set in hard. We need to get out and do something. A good place to take some pictures, a cruise...anything.

Anyone have any ideas?

Michele suggests a run to Smithfield (just to do something different).

She is leaning towards doing it on the 21st. Valentine's day is right out (as much as I like you guys, she has first dibs). I may still be trying to get my truck out of the shop next Saturday, so I can't commit to that weekend.

Oh, I forget to mention that until the Symphony concert at the end of the month (22nd I think) I can't come out to play until about 1pm on Saturdays, and I can only play until about 2:30 - 3pm on Sundays because I have rehearsals.

I have my fingers crossed that I will be driving the new heart-transplanted Vette sometime around the 14th or the 21st so I am up for something.

So do you pay Ed by the job, or does he just charge you rent?

BTW, if it makes you feel any better, I think I paid for the bay doors at RK's service drop off when I had my C4.

I am in for anything, and I got the Vette back on the road. The brakes aren't up to 100%, burned out headlight, expired tags, and other little stuff like that... but still driveable

I am open for this weekend, weather is looking good and I need a reason to take the Vette out for a ride.

I know I won't have my car together by this weekend but maybe by the 21st. We could probably meet up somewhere by the Vette Barn in Suffolk, ride through Smithfield, cruise all the way down Route 10, jump on the Jamestown Ferry, and do lunch or drinks somewhere around the Williamsburg area. Anybody see a major problem with that?

That my friend sounds like fun! Are you referring to this weekend or the weekend of the 21st?

Well I'm glad I could help.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll have my doors back on the car until next weekend and I'll probably still be "seat-less" for another 6-8 weeks. Bummer!

If everyone is definitely available for a cruise on the 21st, I can try to borrow a car for the day. I don't mind leading the way but I sure would hate to have all these Vettes' following my beat-up ol' pickup truck.

What about going to the go kart place in Portsmouth and then grabbing some lunch or dinner at hooters or something?

Haven't done the ferry since last fall
