I like the auction but hardly get a chance to buy anything.
There's a couple of ballers there.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Thanks to all that made it happen!
------------------------------------
This was our fifth year to attend the Panama City Beach Caravan.
This year there were about 85 cars.
I understand this will be the last year to stay at the Dothan National Golf and Spa Hotel.

The event is well organized and a lot of thought is put into making things work for so many folks. There are seminars with representatives from the Corvette Plant and the Corvette Museum. You can do as much or as little as you like.
Thursday night we gathered at the Dothan National for the "kick-off" with food, brief introductions to our guest speakers, a silent auction, and this year, a disco party.

Friday we all lined up and with the help of some Houston County officers blocking traffic to the Florida line, we were off. The drive is an easy one and is a grand site to see. We ended our Caravan at Pier Park in Panama City Beach. We had lunch and shopped around a bit till our room at the Marriott Bay Point was ready.
Friday night we opted to have dinner out. We went over the "The Shrimp Boat" in St. Andrews. The restaurant started in about 1950. It has been completely redone and has wonderful food. Several folks opted for the Lady Anderson dinner cruise which is fast becoming a hit with many of the folks that caravan.
Saturday there were several seminars and a golf tournament. We headed to San Destin for our shopping ritual.

There was a gathering Saturday evening at the hotel with a great spread of food, guest speakers and an auction for the museum. There was some great stuff there again this year from parts off a C6R race car to "one-off" posters of the Grand Sport created and presented by Kirk Bennion, C6 Design Engineer.
We had a great time again this year and hope that we can make it again next year.

(I understand they will not be a Host Hotel next year)

The local law enforcement plays a huge part in helping us get out of the hotel onto Hwy 231 South and gets us through the two remaining lights before crossing into Florida. Thanks again guys.

We were near the front this year!

ZR1...

Wonderful "Corvette Only" parking this year!

The new Grand Sport brought down from Bowling Green.
The folks usually bring something really nice every year.

See the posters in the pictures below...

All good things must come to an end...

Thank You for the great write-up and posting the pictures. I'm sure there will be somemore posted up soon.
It's always a pleasure to see our "Corvette Friends" and we always strive to make our Caravan as entertaining as possible.
We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and if there are any suggestions or ideas to make it better please let us know.
Plans are already in motion for next year!

Thank You All for helping make the "caravan" sucessfull again this year!
