Rolex 24 @ Daytona
Are any of you guys planning on going to the Rolex 24 @ Daytona? The Mazda Rotary Car Club of Florida has reserved the number 2 suite in the paddock area right alongside pit lane. If you are interested in joining us in the paddock, feel free to email me at jerrylh3@yahoo.com
We have scheduled Ralph Thomas (who will drive the 3 rotor Mazda/Tiga in the GTP race on Friday) and his son Brook Thomas (who is the lead mechanic on both the 3 rotor TIGA and ARGO) will be stopping by our suite on Saturday for a Q 7 A session. The TIGA was last years series champion. The ARGO is three time IMSA Camel Light World Champion. Ralph and Dennis Spencer won the 6 hrs at Watkins Glen in 2000 in the ARGO. They also won first time out with the TIGA at Laguna Seca, last August. Brook has worked for Brumos, Downing, Spenser as well as the Archangel Lola/Nissan teams.
It should be fun. The suite will include the standard Super Ticket (paddock, garage, infield parking, grandstand) and entrance into our 2 level suite (first level is tables and chairs, second level is bench seating; we also will have catering and closed circuit TV). Price is $180 if any of you guys are interested. We thought we would extend this to anyone else who would like to come.
