Corvettefever magazine tech writer Chris Petris has his shop in Florida, somewhere near mid state. This guy is a real expert when it comes to corvettes. If it was me, I'd seek him out.

I do not think Chris Petris is taking on much new work anymore and last I heard he was looking at relocating to the mountins in the Carolinas.
As mentioned, if you can give a location you may get a better idea on what is near you. There are quite a few shops through out FL both for performance and normal repair related. I mainly handle C5 and C6's and have a part time tech for C4's in the Orlando area.
I am sure the folks here can steer you in a good direction.

Actually, he has moved to Scotsboro, Alabama. He's been working on my car for 4 years now and is just about done. Not his fault though. Nordskog screwed me. They were supposed to build a custom dash for me and 2 years later, it's still not done so Chris is doing it himself. Look at, "My Corvette Photos" to see the kind of work that Chris does.
