Hey gang,
It's time for another SW Florida get together.
June 20th at 10:00am

We will be meeting at Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda, FL
www.musclecarcity.net
99,000 SF of classic cars, spanning 80 years.
I will also have the WOEII Shirt on it's national tour available for us to sign. Link to WOEII Shirt
Lastly, I also have a bunch of raffle tickets for the 2010 Corvette benefiting St. Jude put on by Autobuffs, Kerbeck Chevrolet and Strictly Corvettes.
It's one of the largest GM Muscle Car collections in the country. Additionally, the museum has a 50's era Diner on site for our dining pleasure. The plan is to arrive at the museum around 10am. They have over 700 parking spots, so we will have plenty of places to park.

I'll plan on it as well.
I'm going to try to get to Buckingham this weekend too. Want to get back into autocross since getting the Vette.

Ok, definitely going to make it out to Buckingham tomorrow. Little nervous though. I used to race Karts. Hope I can envision the course through the mirage of cones.
I’m going to get there early and go through the novice class. I’ll have my LMB Z51 C6 with black Z06 motorsport wheels.
See you tomorrow.

I will be one of the instructors at the novice school, so I'll be able to show you the ropes.

I took my 11 year old son today. We both liked it. Some very nice rides and plenty of them. Probably takes about an hour to walk through and see the entire collection.
I had an interesting discussion with one of the employees wondering if being one genre of brand would hurt them in the long run? Obviously no Ford or Mopar. Probably too early to tell. But the parking lot could accomodate any serious car show for future events. It's sort of hard to advertise the place except to GM branded groups.
Word of mouth in person and via the internet is pretty much all they have. The diner seats about 50 if full, and the food while touristy in price was good in portion and taste imo. The gift shop is actually rather large in space and has the typical GM/Chevy assorted clothing, diecast cars, and other things. They also have a parts department but I did not speak to that guy to see how in-depth they are.
I also wonder if the entire collection is Rick's or if he has vehicles on loan to rotate in & out to keep it fresh.
