Dude, please get a roll bar installed. Hate to see you get hurt. At least you have more of a chance with a bar. Forget about hurting the resale value of your car or not being able to store the top. There's a reason our club's hard core racers have roll bars installed. It's not a matter of if you roll the car, it's a mattter of when. Listen to me, I must sound like your mom or dad. Sorry dude. :cheers:
PS: I'd have a full 8 pt in my vette if i could afford it. Of course then i'd be able to afford open tracking my vette also. :D

Yeah, a roll bar would be nice when you go off in the weeds… If I wasn’t in the vette and I was doing the same speed and hit the turn like I did in any other car.. We would have flipped for sure..
I was passing a MR2 at WOT in 4th gear at 100 something MPH when I made the first turn and going into the second turn way to hot and i turned way to soon. I corrected but at the point that I corrected is at the crest of the hill and you can feel the car get very light well... That’s all she wrote. Back end went out and I had about 8 seconds of spinning off the track going back onto the track and going back off the track.. what a ride... I was lucky I didn't hit anything. There wasn't any damage to the car other then a small area on my rocker panel that is down to the primer. Looks like a rock hit the side really hard when I went into the weeds.
The day seemed rather ruff for everyone. A C5 got hit on the track, a viper GTS was totaled, there was about 10 to 15 offs in my group alone. The instructors had 5 offs the first time out. I think the low temps had a lot to do with the number of offs we had during the two days.
I remember the first time I went to summit point, there wasn't a single off in my group. I hit speeds of 140+ without any problems.
The highest speed I reached at VIR was about 130.. I could have hit 150 on the straights but once you drive VIR you will understand why 120 to 130 is fast enough, for me at least.
