Anyone have them install the 3M Clear Bra? I am scheduled to have the nose, headlights, and mirrors done this Thursday.

I had them do mine a year and a half or so ago, and they did an outstanding job. Though I do need to have my mirrors re-done because they are starting to peel just a little. Once it's done, don't get any claybar near the edges because it will catch the clay and it can be a bizatch to get off. Definitely one of the best investments I made on the car!!

Beautiful! They are quick workers. Father and son team. They warned me of the mirrors as I was leaving. They don't use the small strip that comes in the kit. They stretch a larger piece across to provide larger protection. They said it will "finger". When it does, give them a call and they would swing by and trim it.

Mike met me at his place after business hours last night so I could drop the car off. It was locked inside, which I appreciated. It was done by 0830 this morning. The guys are good. I had to look very carefully to see the lines.

I asked them ahead of time if a sealant would affect adhesion. They said it was no problem but upon picking up the car, said they had to research it to ensure the bra would stick. That didn't leave me a warm fuzzy as I could have left the sealant off. I polished the car before taking it into them so the paint underneath would be perfect. Hopefully the sealant protects the paint while still allowing the adhesive to grab well. 3M is known for their adhesives so should be great stuff.

They gave me 10% off for being retired military. Woooohooo!

For protection they said to keep it waxed with a good carnauba. I was surprised they didn't say to use Plexus. I can call and double check with them, but they said carnauba wax, so that's what I will use. I have tub of S100 that I use on one of my bikes.

For paint protection they seem to really like TW Ice and Megs NXT and dislike polymer sealants. That was surprising. I've tried ice and NXT. No protection. Ice is an oily film. NXT is an attempt to mimick Zaino/Rejex/ Four Star UPP/ etc...

IMXCITD, I think you will enjoy having these folks do your car. They're very friendly and passionate about what they do. The bra is almost invisible. I forgot to ask them about the rear of each wheel before hand. They can do it for $100. They cover that 1" area and then wrap it back to cover the lower rocker area. He said some have the whole area behind the front wheel done, from the wheel to the vent, from the rocker to the horizontal ledge perpendicular to the top of the vent. I probably should have had them do it when I picked it up, but wasn't sure if they had the time.

Overall, great guys, great business ethic, professional, went out of thier way to help me, and the family loves riding (motorcycles). They will get my business again.

I use Zaino over it and it works GREAT!!

Yep, I did. Wish I would've done the entire area in front of and over the rear wheels.

I don't have my reciept in front of me, but it was over $600. They gave me a 10% discount for being military, which brought it back to $585 I think. That was for the C-6 front end kit and headlights. The foglights are part of the front end kit.

Scooter, why do you wish you'd have covered the entire rear wheel area?

Due to the flares in the back of the Z06 when rocks come off of the front tires they have a tendency to catch the edge of the rear flare. So I have a couple of really small chips in the back. Their not really noticeable unless you are right on top of the car, but it still ticks me off. This shouldn't be a problem for a non Z car though.
