I posted this in the C3 section a couple of weeks ago. I thought you guys might be interested. I'm a student at Tennessee Tech. The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (of which I'm a member), is organizing a tour of the plant in Bowling Green on Feb. 22nd. I'm taking my car (everyone else is taking a stupid conversion van from the school... losers :D), and I would love for some of you guys to join us. If you're interested, email me at e3pres@hotmail.com, or reply to this post.
We are leaving Cookeville at 8am on the 22nd. That should put us in Nashville at 9:30-10:00am. If you want to meet somewhere, let me know a good place. (I'm not familiar with Nashville), or if you just want to meet us up there, that would be fine too.
e3pres,
I'm very interested in your offer to let me join your group. I'm 90-95% yes right now. I'll let you know for sure later this week so you can add my name to the list. I may can get another vette or two from this area if that's o.k. What time is the tour scheduled for? What is the latest that names can be added to the list? Thanks.

That would be great if you could join us. Just let me know the max. number of people, preferrably by tomorrow morning (Tuesday). I believe the tour starts at 12 noon CST. Do you want to meet on the way somewhere, or just meet near the plant? Let me know, and I'll ask some people who are more familiar with the area to suggest a place. Thanks for the reply. I look forward to seeing you there.
Are you coming west on I-40?
If so you could take Briely Parkway to Opryland and we could hook up in the parking lot at 10:00 am, then continue north on Briely Parkway until it hits I-65.
:seeya
I was kind of thinking more like a gas station or restaurant right off the interstate. Is there a Cracker Barrell or something else easy to spot on I-65? . I'd hate to get lost.
At exit 108 on I-65 (Springfield, White House) north of Nashville and before you get to the Tenn-Ky line there is a Hardee's. Could we meet there at say 10:00 or whatever?

Sounds good to me. I'm going to try to land line Sandy to set up a time to meet in Franklin. The tour is at 12:00 right? I would like to get back thru Nashville before the Fri afternoon rush hits.
