I just got back from driving new to me an 04 coupe with HUD and I think from one thousand miles of 100 degree plus, desert heat and sand, my windshield now looks and feels as if it has been sandblasted.
I have tried multiple soaps & rags .....and last night I tried the zaino glass polish and nothing seems to help....
any ideals ???
I am posting this in national and regional sections-thanks
Try WINDEX and 0000 Steel Wool. Same thing they use in the body shop for overspray. I use it on a regular basis to remove bugs guts and tar.
Make sure you keep glass well soaked with windex. If that does not work, then the sand has actually chipped away the outer layer of the lamination. I doubt anything else will work.
