BTW, yes we will be doing another cruise-in this fall. They are redoing the bridge in Dandridge so I've got to map out an new route. The one last fall, through the national park, took too long and too many folks got lost.
But as Ron White would say,,"it sure was pretty"..
The fall event, the sun set is much earlier than the spring, so the time allowed must be shorter.
BTW,,, Are there any complaints/kudos for the restaurant we used?
New Orleans on the River, I think it was called. For obvious reasons, Volunteer Chevroet can not do the BBQ feast like he used to do. I enjoy the cruise as mush as everyone else.

We thought the restaurant was fantastic.............however it was just a bit confusing how they dealt with all the folks coming in at once. We opted not to do the buffet, however they directed us downstairs when we went in anyway. The folks downstairs then told us we had to go back upstairs to order off the menu, which resulted in quite a wait for a table. Now, in our group's opinion (and there were several of us from VotS), the food and service, once we got seated, more than made up for the wait for a table.........in fact we were so late it seemed we "closed" the place........but the food, and the service was great once we got settled in. We would go back there for sure!

We had plans to go to Damons (coldest beer in Tennessee) after the ride but, we went to N.O on the River Saturday for wifes BD with another couple. It was GREAT!! The view is good too!
Thanks guys, I just talked to Byron and he is pleased that everyone liked the restaurant. If they're still in business, I'm sure we'll attempt to go there agiain this fall.
I just ran the new route last week end. We have altered the route slightly. The lake is completely full of water and is beautiful, and the trees should be turning nicely in two weeks. The restaurant has not been selected yet, but we're trying to work out something with N.O. on the river again. Some changes have been made for the fall show too, the auction has moved indooors, there will be a "park and show" event for those that want to have their cars judged in the parking area. Be sure to sign up for the E-mail updates, Currently we're sending out information on the auction cars. http://www.corvetteexpo.com/

Just an aside. I am not one of the Expo promoters, I am however a good friend of Byron and Ronnie and I assist them with their computer stuff because I understand it a bit better than they do, it keeps my mind working in my retirement years and I get free entry in to their events..
