I just got this email from the Peninsula Mustang Enthusiast club:

On Monday September 7th, NASCAR is coming to New Town In the same area you are weekly. There is a NASCAR chopper, simulator and racecar. We thought it would be fun to have a little more participation because we expect the foot traffic to be higher. Knowing that you all enjoy Cruisin, I was just offering you a chance to be part of it. It will run from 12-4, set up should be done by 11:30 however cars can arrive anytime.

I know Knucklehead's is having a get together on Sunday starting at 11:00 and running till around 5 or 6. My buddy's band is playing there and they are AWESOME!! I believe it's mostly bikes, but if enough Vettes show up it could be more. I'm going to be bringing the new Camaro up. It would be good to see some of you guys again, it's been a while. Hope to see ya'll there.

Joe, if you want we could meet at Jenro’s, always quite a few people show up there. If we are going to do this let me know early and set a time, I will need to put my car back together.

Jeff, I have to work the 12th or I would try to make it.

Ford, I am up for a couple of hours in New Town to check out the NASCAR car, do you want to cruise up?

Shawn, if a few of us can get together for Sunday I am game for a couple of hours.

I am starting to remodel my kitchen and as you all can see I am looking for a reason to get out this weekend for a little break(s).

A few of us are going to the Corvette and Chevy show at Hall Automotive tomorrow (Saturday). They are only letting 75 cars in the show so you need to go early to register (like 8:30) I am guessing. Best of show pays $500 or so I have been told.

Good luck at the show. I can't make it, I need to finish wiring my gauges, or at least get them out of my way to drive.

There's also this today:

1st Annual CHEVROLET AND GM CAR SHOW presented BY STREET DREAMS CORVETTE CLUB Saturday, September 5, 2009 from 9:00am – 3:00pm at Hall Chevrolet.

Looks like Hall Chevy is in Chesapeake.

I actually wanted to go, mainly because I buy all of my cars from Hall Chevrolet, but my daughters have an important points race at Northeast Dragway today. Sounds like it's going to be a great time.

You're right. Not a good day for a cruise! I just got all the Carlisle mud off the Vette. There'll be other days.
