I am taking my daughter to Disneyworld during Thanksgiving and need some help. We have always stayed in the park before, but we are staying outside this time. If I park at one park in the AM and then end the day at another park, can I catch a shuttle back to where my car is parked? I know that different parks have different closing hours, and I am unsure how the whole shuttle between parks works. Also, I would greatly appreciate any local knowledge regarding parking/shuttle tips. Thanks.
The answer is yes. You can park in one lot and take a monorail, boat, or bus to another park or resort. Even though one park may close early the busses will run until early morning and service that parking lot.
Thanksgiving is very busy there. You will find the parks crowded and the wait times longer because of the crowds. The restaurants fill up quickly. If you are going to Magic Kingdom, get there early because the park closes when it reaches capacity, which has happened between 10 and 11 AM in years past. Thanks for visiting Disney, enjoy your visit and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Depending on where you are staying "off the property" many of those hotels provide busses and shuttles to the parks.
Check with your hotel.
Disney busses run between all the parks.
Monorail between Epcot and Magic Kingdom.
Boats between some like Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
That weekend will likely be busy, so expect lines for busses between parks.
If you don't mind walking...here's a tip. You can walk from Epcot to Hollywood Studios via the Boardwalk. Exit Epcot at the rear gate between France and England. Follow the water to the bridge and go over the bridge towards the ESPN club. Can mosey around on the Boardwalk till you see the Dance club at the end...go Left, and follow the path behind the hotel and next to the "canal" (don't go over the bridge to the Swan/Dolphin)...You'll see the busses and entrance to Hollywood Studios. It is a little walk, but nice this time of year and probably quicker than waiting for a bus or boat....

I just spent this week (11-14 Nov) there. I stayed at the Grand Floridian on Disney. The monorail connection from Magic Kingdom to Epcot requires you to transfer at the ticket/transportation stop from Magic Kingdom. Once you transfer the monorail will take you straight to Epcot. If you want to go to Animal Kingdom, Disney Studios, or Downtown Disney try to catch a bus. You can catch a bus at any of the resorts. The Magic Kingdom monorail stops at the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian. The buses run every 10-15 minutes from the resorts. As stated, it will be very busy over the Thanksgiving week so be prepared. Enjoy your stay.
