[NoVa/MD/DC/WV]Philly Cheesesteak Run - Sun. 6/27/10
Join me Sunday, June 27th for Philly Cheesesteak Run! We will be making a run up to the City of Brotherly Love and stopping at famed Tony Luke's for some local cuisine featured on the Travel Channel. It was here that Adam Richman took on and won the Ultimate Cheesesteak Challenge. I must say the dry run a couple of us did months ago for this event was a blast (but there's no way I'm eating a 5 pound sandwich!)
Now, there is a whole lot more than cheesesteaks on the menu - they have a lot of other types of sandwiches/menu items such as chicken cutlets, roast pork, roast beef, burgers, hot dogs, etc to try. Check the menu out HERE. Menu items on average range in price from $1 to $9 (unless you want the 5lb cheesesteak, which you have to shell out $43 for!)
We will meet at the McDonald's on 8111 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182 for a drivers meeting at 9:45 AM, depart at 10 AM, and cruise about an hour and a half - then stop at a rest stop for stretches, restroom breaks, and to regroup should anyone get separated. Then we'll continue on for another hour and a half to Philly, park, and enjoy some lunch together. There is ample parking at Tony Luke's (also helps that there are no home games for the Phillies/Flyers/Eagles scheduled that day!)
Please bring your Smart Tag/EZ Pass if you have one or money for tolls. Please be fueled up, complete restroom visits, on time, and ready to go!
Please RSVP to social@nvcorvetteclub.com and let me know your full name/# attending.

I think people are just really busy with holiday stuff right now. After the first week or two of January you might get some more responses. Give it time

I went to the last event (I think). Drove all the way out to Fairfax to turn around and come back home. No need to have a meal solo with Rob.
