I've lucked out on the snow...the last two times its' snowed, I'd left town the day before.
I'm down near New Orleans right now having an ECS blower dropped in at Ragin Racing...and I'm not coming back 'til the snow is gone.
About the NCC...I plan on attending my first meeting next month to check 'em out. I've already spoken to, I think her name was Nancy, to verify that they're still active since their site hadn't been updated in a while.
Maybe a bunch of us newbie Vette owners can cruise up at the same time since it seems quite a few of us in this thread live fairly close.
Gimme a shout if you want a ride with the new blower. I should really be home next Wed or Thurs.
Hey filmjay, congrats on the blower. Let me know if you come to the next NCC meeting. You had offered advice on a HUD install to me a few weeks back here on the forum. I have been going since I joined last fall and it is a good group of people. They are very active and have something going on all of the time. I am not able to do a lot of the activites because I have 2 small kids but there is some kind of activity going on all of the time. Sign me up for a ride!
Springfield here. Are any of you members of the Nashville Corvette Club? I just joined a couple of months ago. If any of you are interested the Nashville Club is going to Beech Bend on March 6 (weather permitting) for a full day of racing. I have heard of the Music City Corvette Club but haven't found anyone who is a member on here.
Another Springfield here.
acyant, don't think I've seen you running around town. I have a dark blue metallic 79' with ghost flames.
Hey Donnie, it's Andy Yant that owns PEST, Inc. behind you. I need to get with you to finish that Sprinter van and pay you for your work. Call me and we can set something up 394-1709.

Man that's too funny. Let me know when you're ready. LOL
It is very funny. Let me know what works for you during the week of the 22nd. One afternoon that week would be good but just let me know what works for you. Thanks
You are never going to get it to pass emissions now. Sounds sweet though !
I don't see why. I can think of at least 5 local cars off the top of my head with twin turbos or superchargers that have no problems passing emissions. 2 '05 GTO's, a couple 98-02 Camaros, and a new 2010 Camaro with a Maggie.
How does a ZR1 pass emissions? Or the many turbo cars that have rolled off assembly lines over the last 50 years?
If anything causes problems though, it'll be the headers/x-pipe because the cats are Euro cats and aren't in the stock location. But I'm keeping the stock stuff and it's a simple bolt-on procedure. Wouldn't take more than an hour or two to swap it all out.
...so we shall see...
Andy, you get that HUD in yet? Let me know if you need a hand.
I'll definitely let you know if/when I head out to an NCC meet.
No I haven't attempted the HUD yet but plan on trying at some point. It still is a bit intimidating when I see the dash all apart. Enjoy that S/C!
It is pretty intimidating looking at it all. Especially after it's all out and you realize that most of the front of your interior is now in the back. LOL.
But it's really not that bad.
Trust me when I say that if I can do it, any monkey with a driver set can do it.
Gimme a shout on the next warm day and I'll come help ya do it.
And thanks, I'm quite sure I'll love it. I have a feeling I'm going to have to limit my love for it somewhat so as not to destroy a piston.
