Hendersonville is nice it's close to Old Hickory lake, There is plenty of shopping, and the schools are good (by Tennessee standards.)
They also have a pretty good cruise in on friday nights. I believe it is at the Home Depot parking lot.
If you have to commute to Nashville traffic might be an issue.
Hendersonville is nice, After Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach you will have an adjustment. You are leaving a beautiful place. Metro Nashville is a really nice area.
Hate to see you leave Wilmington and NC Oz, but Nashville is a great place. And if you go there that will make 3 friends I need to make a plan to visit in 2010.
You know the job market in your line of work is highly specialized so I am sure they recognize your talents and made a good offer. Let me know what you decide and good luck!
Where you gonna be for CMA's? I'll be around town on all of it at some point. Might run across each other.
Hendersonville is a decent area. It's probably the nicest area north of the city.
You still may want to look into other areas, depending on where in Nashville you'd be commuting to.
Franklin is nice, but it's the upscale area where all the Titans and music/movie stars live. (and a few wayward CF members, including myself)
Spring Hill to the south is also worth a look as is Mt Juliet to the east.
And if you're a racer...the drag strips are north (1/8 mile Music City Raceway / 1/4 mile Beech Bend in GB, KY), road course/super speedway is east and south(Nashville Superspeedway & road course), and dirt track oval to the South (Duck River Raceway).
I couldn't agree more! I am originally from Massachusetts and from hearing everything up to the point of my visit to Nashille to move out to Tennessee I thought it was going to be very similar to Las Vegas!!! Come on don't laugh too hard! Seriously, was told of the neon lights, music city, music capital of the world, all the famous celebs! etc etc. I was pretty shocked the first time I went downtown lol. I can remember vividly thinking hmmmm I drove an hour in traffic to see this? Is this really it? Come on your joking right? This is like the bad run down part right?
Guess my anticipation, perception and expectations was a little grander in my head lol. Don't get me wrong it is nice and all just definitely not what I expected from all the talk of the famous "Nashville" Tennessee.
Oh yeh like the others have said...if you have to work in Nashville, traffic is not fun at all into the city. You're going to have road rage quick. Iam sorry but some Tennessee drivers really need to take a driving skills test and take some lessons on how to drive a car.
