Just wanted to see who all we have here on the forum that are in the Jax/ St. Augustine area? Are there any regular cruise in's or show and shines anywhere? In Pensacola they had one at Burger King every Saturday afternoon, just seeing if anything like that exists here.
That and make some Corvette friends out here. My girlfriend and I are most likely going to join the Corvette club out here (I was a member of one in Jackson, MS). So hello to all.

First Coast Car Council does a cruise in at various places around Jacksonville.
There are a couple of clubs in town. Depends on what you're looking for. One is mainly waxers and one is mainly autocrossers. Although the autocrossers put on a large show at World Golf Village every year. The show is on June 19th this year.

Also depends on if you want NCCC affliation. The waxers aren't affliated and the racers are.

Thanks for the input! The autocrossing sounds like a blast! I haven't done that in the vette. Believe it or not, I used to do it in my 99 Trans Am! The stock suspension on that thing really wasn't set up for hard cornering. Of course 448hp didn't help me with that set up either.

I was there last week nada thing there. We showed up around 11 maybe? Could have been a little later, has this event stopped? Or do I need to get moving quicker?
By the way, welcome to Jax. I've been here since last summer and like it. I spent a couple of years in Hattisburg and one in water valley a while back. I like Jax better than either of them.

Cars and Coffee is now called Automotive Addicts. The name was changed almost a year ago due to franchise fees with the California group. We meet on the second Saturday morning from 9-12. It is now held at Tinsel Town on Southside Blvd. We meet behind Wild Wing Cafe in front of the movie theater. You will see lots of high dollar cars and even a few low cost fun cars. We usually have 100-135 cars when the weather is good.
As to cruise-ins, several are held around town.
First Saturday: Krystal on Merrill Rd near 9-A
Second Saturday: Food Lion on St Rd 13 (San Jose Blvd)
Third saturday: River City Market Place I-95 at Airport exit
Fourth Saturday: K-Mart Normandy Blvd. just west of I-295
The events start at 5pm, but you need to get there by 4pm to find parking. Usually they are over by 8:30-9:00 pm.
We have a 50's DJ, door prizes, a 50-50 drawing and lots of cool cars and people. All of these events are free to participate and usually draw 150 or so cars. Come on out and have some fun!!
