I am trying to rent a Vette for a birthday surprise. I am in the Raleigh area and am having some difficulties finding someone who rents a Corvette. Do any of you have any suggestions for me?

That's gonna be a tough one. Hertz is the only company that I know of that rents Corvettes. But they were only delivered to select hubs. And they've also been actively retiring their Corvette fleet, so there aren't as many left available. They're replacing the Corvette with the new Camaro as their "fun collection" sports/muscle car.
They have them, I own one of the Hertz special editions (#278/500)...but it's gonna be luck if you have one nearby really. A good percentage of them have already sold to drivers and collectors.
