I had this in C6 General, but I think this is where the info would come from.
I am planning my trip to the Sebring race and instead of taking I-75 south I was wondering if Hwy 27 from Tallahassee would be a nice easy ride. I will leave a day early so I can see some of western Florida. Is there some interesting places to see along the west side of the state. I have been down 98 to Panama City before, plus spring break may be problem through there, so I will skip that part of the trip. So if you have any good advice, let me know. Thanks in advance. If you really have something good, I can leave 2 days early.

The only problem with retirement is you never have any days off!

Hwy 27 south of the Florida Turnpike has a lot of stop lights, so it can be a little slow going. Drive safely and maybe we will see you @ the track.
they really improved US 19 /27/ etc. Just watch your speed through the small towns.
Not as scenic as you may hope for. Small desolate towns. Unfortuntately no waterfront route that gets you close to the Gulf unless you really travel off the beaten path.

Hey Purerock,
How is the truck driving going? Do you still have you're Vette and are you going to the race? If so we will see you there.
As far as the trip goes, it doesn't matter that much, we just want a relaxed ride for part of the trip. If we see some place we like, we will drive off the main road to see it. We are turning a 1 day trip into a 3 or 4 day trip. Thanks for the info.
