It seems like a pretty eclectic group. Nice people. Ages ranged from 40s to 70s. Lots of wives in attendance. They're mostly into touring, shows, parades, fundraisers, etc. It's very socially oriented and inclusive. There's at least one devout HPDE guy there looking to build interest in that among the membership. I'll definitely take him up on the offer.
Out in the lot there was a nice line-up of C5s and C6s including a couple new Z06s. There were a few C4s and a C1, maybe 25 cars in all.
Interesting. I may have to check it out sometime. Although I'm way younger than that age range. haha
Funny story from that meeting: I was chatting with a guy who was about 70 or so. I asked what kind of Corvette he had. He said he had a 2001 coupe. I said, that's great, I have one too. Then he went on and said he had '68 and '69 big blocks. Thinking he was done, I said those were great too. He kept going and said he had a '67 big block and a '65 fuelie. Certain he was done I said that's awesome. But he kept going and said he also had a '62 and was restoring a '58. By then I was certain he was going to mention more, so I asked if there were any more. No, he said, that's all I have.
