Default Need a good alignment shop, SC, NC, GA.

Like the title says, I'm looking for a good, reputable shop to do an alignment on my '04 CE, I had it done at a local shop a while back, and I don't think they did a very good job, the car wears the insides of the fronts at an alarming rate. I appreciate any help with this.

I'm sure somebody else will confirm, but I believe the front insides will wear with the factory alignment specs.....

As an aside - I'd be interested in NC recommendations...

Thanks for the tip LEAVINU I am in Charleston SC. Does anyone have any input on what oh1vette posted? I used to have a 99 that I put about 165,000 miles on and it wasn't this hard on the tires. But it wasn't a Z either...

Not too easy to get around it with the massive tires the Z comes equipped with however; it is very possible to drastically reduce unecessary wear with a quality alignment. My girlfriend has a GS and wore her fronts out in 8k miles. Took her car to GTE and all 4-wheels were all over the place. Heavy toe OUT, poor camber on some wheels good camber on other wheels, etc. I'll never assume a "new" car has a perfect alignment again thats for sure.

I have used them before too. Good experience. Even took some off the price when we had a misunderstanding.

I have also used Butler Tire on roswell road. Weren't as friendly as Gran Turismo East, but they did a good job.

Well worth it in my opinion no doubt. I take all four of our vehicles there without question. I drive from the MOG area so its pretty close to the same frmo Marietta, just coming from the east instead.

Not everything worth driving too is around the "big chicken" ya know.

Butler is usually good as are some other shops around for a normal allignment.

For a corner weight and allignment on a coil over system Gran Tourismo is the only shop I would use.

Had mine aligned today at Perfect Performance, Inc. in Roswell, GA. OUTSTANDING Alignment rack/machine (the drive on type) and the tech had aligned 100's of Corvettes, Ferrari's & Porsche's so I was comfortable with him doing it.

Just throwing my hat in the ring. I do corner balancing (Longacre scales) and alignments quite often for forum members. I can also install coilovers, poly bushings, locking camber blocks, brake upgrades etc. Pretty much whatever you need. I specialize in suspension setups for C5's.

Let me know if I can help.

Performance Chassis in Cary does a great job for street or track alignments.

Any guesstimate how much does it cost?

Do you do just front or front and back?

I am also worried with my GS misaligned.

Do you have to tell the folks at Gran Turismo the correct specs for the alignment?

Thx,
Tambeng
