back in december some idiot rolled his van next to me on that bridge in the background! it was scary! then about 4 weeks ago some kid i a civic tried to race me in that exact spot in the second pic! i don't really know what was going through his mind!

thanks dave. she may not have seen us because in order for us to all park together without getting all door dinged up, we had to park over in the gravel parking places by the grocery store. there are some pics here from when we went. we ended up with the real long wait, and then did not get out of ther till around 10 or 11. then we went driving around and i got to smoke the white WS6 in the pics (he had some tire spin, so it really was not fair. but a kill is a kill!) down some road near the holiday inn. we had a great night. are you going to come out tonight? we have our cruise night here in beaufort tonight andit looks like it should be a beautiful day!

no, our cruise night was in beaufort. one of your co-workers came up and looked at the cars. i don't know what his name was, but he was a shorter guy in a bare-top C.V. seemed like a nice guy, but i think he was looking for something....heehee. we ended up with close to 15 cars or so, only 1 of them was a vette (adam's C5, the silver one from the island). a couple other vettes (C4's and a C3) drove by, but as normal, they did not stop. i don't know why they never stop. anyway, there is a car show for the water festival this coming saturday up here in beaufort. shoot me an e mail if you are interested and i will direct you to the flier. if i don't see you then, i should see you at the wild wings cruise!

oh yeah, and dave, thanks for the advice! even thought we were not down there, it is always nice to have somebody watching out for us.

the show next weekend is for the water festival and there is a flier for the show here. i know there will be a couple vettes from up charleston/summerville there. so laurie is getting the bike? what is she gonna get? that would be funny to see her riding around with you on the back! :) :rolleyes:

She's looking at a twin cam Road King. Kind of unlikely that I'll be riding on the back since I've got a Heritage Softail with an 89" S&S stroker motor! :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:

The car show sounds like fun. Sounds like its going to be right behind the Law Enforcement Center in Beaufort. Is it just "classic" cars and trucks or are there going to be some comtemporary cars too? No ricers I hope! :rolleyes:

EDIT: I just looked at the pics from last year's event. There was a TR C5 'vert in the show. Looked pretty stock (but nice looking nonetheless). There was a bright yellow C4 and a C4 with what looked like chromalusion paint. Also a clean looking C1 and a mid-70's C3 also! Maybe I'll put mine in this year???

the road kings are a nice cruiser. i knew you had one, i saw the pic on your page, but sis not know how much you ride it. yeah, the show is in the parking lot there at the gov center. last year was the first year for late models, and the majority of it was vettes. the yellow C4 was ken sherrod's (he is a county guy, too). marty was there with his old blue C4. the chromalusion one was neat looking. should be a pretty good late model class this year! hope to see you there. i live 1/2 mile down on ribaut from the show, so i will drop my cars off in the morning and walk home for breakfast!
