Default Update: Corvettes For Vets

A lot has went on the past several weeks that I would like to share with you guys. Here is a quick run down of what all is planned. Of course the show will be going on from 8 til 4. This is going to be a great, patriotic day. All of the proceeds from this show will go to Operation Homefront to help support struggling families in need of our deployed troops. The show registration will begin at 8am and run til noon. We have 3 great bands that will perform for us. Poor Horatio, Wiregrass and Rocky Yelton and the Hired Guns. The NC National Guard will have a 4 vehicle display of various military vehicles that is used to protect our freedom. The local Marine Corp League, Veterans of foreign wars, Disabled Veterans and Operation Homefront will all be in attendance with booths set up to share their operations.
The local high school Marine Corp JROTC will be presenting colors at noon. There will be several Corvette vendors on the show field and many local vendors inside the stadium selling everything from candles to jewelry to lotions to tons of everything else that our Corvette ladies enjoy. Since this event is being held at McNair Field, home of the Forest City Owls, its only fitting for baseball park concessions to be available, and they will be! The blood connection will be there taking blood donations to benefit a local 5 year old little girl with a rare form of Leukimia and all donors will get free baseball tickets and a T shirt. There will be something for everyone at this event, this is not just going to be a car show, its going to be a day filled with fun, fun and more fun! At the end of the show there will be a mass exit and parade through beautiful downtown Forest City.
Don't forget, Baymont Inn and Suites are our host hotel. Make your reservations now and join us Friday Night, April 26 from 7pm til 9pm at the Baymont Inn banquet room for our hospitality night meet and greet. You can reach the hotel at 828-287-8788, ask for the Corvette rate.
