Default Racing questions

I was wondering what type of racing everyone participates in? It seems to me that 5-8 years ago, there was a lot more going on in the vette community then there is now.
I know Steve "All throttle and some bottle" has been trying to get a private rental together for the 1/4 mile at Richmond Va. and there has been little interest in it.
It used to be this would fill up and there would be a waiting list to go.
Is there some other form of racing that you are running and if so where and when is it happening?

Have been going to VIR for the past 6/7 years. Also ran the vette at a few of the events Steve put together. Attended most of Steve's events just to watch some others run there cars. Steve's event makes for a great day on the 1/4 mile. I think that the interest for the 1/4 mile has fallen off quite a bit.

What car were you running and when? I am wondering if we were at the same events. It has been about 5 years since I had been due to blowing the motor, health issues etc. But I have a white 93 vert with a hardtop. Sometimes I just had the clothtop on it. Also, I had a friend come with a red 67 chevelle SS, another with a 72 cougar, one with a 93 red mustang, etc.

Have a 02 Z06, Quicksiver is the color. Not sure of the dates, but pretty sure it was more than 5 years ago.

I have been going through my old pictures, but I don't think I have found yours. I taped back then a lot more then still pictures. But I will keep looking.
FWIW here are a few pictures.
This is mine, showing off for a picture!!

This is my friend Pricilla. This is a real 67 SS car. 396 4sp. Very nice shape.

And this Cougar belonged to a guy I used to know. He is a mechanical engineer for Nissan. Used to travel to different garages helping out when the mechanics could not figure out the problem. Since then he was transferred to their plant, I think in Tennessee to teach a transmission class. The car was a 4sp 351C and ran high 11's
