They called today, about 11 am central. (this is according to them) The trip has been great so far. Have already met a few new people, and have had similar life experiences (the men, both shared vietnam experiences, stationed in the same place, and the ladies, both shared religious stuff). Have received an offer to stay at a forum members house on the way back (thank you too that member, forget the name, possibly htwhls) And from the sounds of their voices, they are having the best times of their lives on this trip! ourruby will be going to the next stop (concord NC) and then with further stops, will make it to NYC.
Hopefully they will keep me updated, as its a great pleasure to hear my parents this happy :cheers: :cheers: :cheers:

You have a wonderful Mom and Dad. Priscilla and I truly enjoyed their company yesterday on the run and at Dave and Busters last night.
Your Dad and I shared our Viet Nam experiences of Phu Bi where we both where stationed, and talked quite a bit about his Franklin Mint and Matchbox Corvette collection. We even talked a little NASCAR. He even admitted to being a Rusty Wallace fan :yesnod:
My wife Priscilla just loves your Mom. They seemed to have so much in common. It seems they share the same intrest in books/authors and share the same religous beliefs.
Before leaving last night we traded addresses so we can stay in touch. Priscilla and I have found new friends in your parents.
