I am going tonight to see what effect the changes have. I changed from a predator carb to a demon 850. The other change was switching the rear tires from 235/60/15 to 275/60/15.
Any other members in the area available??
Re: test-n-tune, eastern NC, thursday night (tworottiedogs)
I haven't worked up the nerve to put mine out there yet. I can't afford to break it. My brother ran his '02 Lightning out there last thurs. night and did pretty well. If he keeps spending money I won't be able to outrun him in the short sprints!
Re: test-n-tune, eastern NC, thursday night (ncvetteman)
there is an 1/8th mile track in bridgeton called New Bern Motorsports. I have been going there because it's close by. The next trip will be the kinston or jacksonville to see what it runs in the 1/4 mile.
I've done Rockingham a couple of times, but they'll throw me out after my first run the next time I go.

From what I've heard Kinston and Jacksonville are both nice, but Jacksonville is a little faster. Kinston has test-and-tune on Thursday nights and different events other nights. I was just talking to a couple of people that run bikes there at the Chevy dealership this morning.

I have been told that kinston is an estimated 1/4 while jville is a measured 1/4. I don't know how that matters. I have raced at Kinston in a different car on the T+T night and had a great time. I have been to jvilles track but wasn't racing. Both look good to me but I am not picky. New Bern's 1/8th mile seems narrow to me and the entrance is tough. I couldn't avoid the waterbox.
