Well, a few of us made the journey North to a great car show in Manassas. I haven't been to Carlisle or the cruise-in yet so this was the most Vette's I have ever seen in one place.
Over 300 from straight axles to present. There were 6 Grand Sports there too, WOW.. I am putting up pictures in the events section but I wanted to place a few pics here for your Sunday afternoon enjoyment.
Leo was our GQ man, buddy you looked really dapper  yesterday but what is up with the all the Leo wannabe's too. I think I truly captured your look in this photo. What do you all think?
This guy ran over to Lord's & Taylor and picked up some of your duds and came back..
Nice try but NO.. :nonod:
I heard there was a casting call for Corvette Hawaii but this guy didn't make the cut either. Leaving in disappointment no doubt
Here is the link, still adding photo's and captions, enjoy.
Now you did it Dave. Next thing you know Jack will want one with his Khaki shorts. It was great being up there with everyone. Hope you had a good trip back down Dave (y2k). We didn't see a single "Virginia's" finest the entire trip down and made it back in a little under three hours. :D An awesome assortment of Vettes up there. A true rainbow of colors. Great day great company. A big :seeya :flag to all the NOVA folks. One heck of a show up there. Now I know where all the GS'S go and hide out.
I know, it was almost like seeing a twin. It would have been awesome to see #486 but #485 was close enough. Man what a turn out!! That was worth the drive. I've been cleaning up the 55 pictures I took from up there. All my son kept saying is " WOW " look at all the vettes. Maybe one of these times he can get away from the Navy too and make a trip with the "Pack" and see how the wild ones live. Hope to see everyone soon.
Leo

I was wondering what to do with that blue dancing-hoola-girl shirt I got last year. Now all I have to do is make it out to an event and I'll be 'in style'. :)
BTW: When is the next get-together in eastern / central VA. ?
$75 bucks!  Leo, somebody must really like you. :D
If it costs that much, I might have to stick with trying to acquire the "godfathers" outfit that we (me, you, and DD) talked about for one of our cruises. :jester
My trip back was pretty uneventful too. Didn't see any troopers either. I was lucky for about 75 miles on I95/295. I tucked in behind two cars that were truckin' along at 80-90MPH and let them stay ahead of me by about 1/4 mile. I figured that was far enough back so that the trooper would get them instead of me. Sounds like you guys made some good time also.
Well my wife has the inside skinny on some good sales and stuff and the Lord and Taylor at the beach here. I don't think she paid that much for it and of course the coupon shopper did have a 20% off coupon to knock some more off the price. I really don't know how much she paid for the shirt, if she did pay that much  , that is one hell of a father's day gift.
