I cannot start to tell you how disappointed i am with them. My first call to them was to verify that 2 used vettes that i saw on line were in fact available. One at their dealership and one at another sister dealership. I spoke with a salesman and he said that he would get back to me in 20 minutes for sure but i told him an hour was fine.
He called me back and said that it was just sold, do i believe him yes i gave him the benefit. He said he was waiting for the other dealership to respond.
Being that i didn't hear from him my wife and l drove over to the dealership. When i asked for the salesperson they sent out his boss to work with us.
Everything went smoothly until i got the jest he really only knew a little about vettes but that was ok. He said because the vette was at another dealership he would have it driven to his dealership and if i didn't like it or wasn't what the pic's online showed i did not have to take it.
I told him that he didn't have to send it and that l would have it checked out myself. In a heartbeat he said that that was ok and that he was going to turn this over to their vette specialist who would call me today (monday) because he was off on Sunday. I said not a problem.
This morning i received a phone call while on my way home from playing ball and l asked if he could call me back in 10 minutes. It has been 8 hrs no return call.
I called and asked for my salesmans boss and he said he was sorry and asked me if he can have the specialist call me back and asked me if i had the car checked out and l told him yes and when he asked my opinion i said i would speak to the specialist. He then said that he would have one of the vette sales people call me back. Now all of a sudden there was a group and not one, strange?
Bottom line nobody called and the outcome is that the drivers bolster had a tear and some wear. A previous owner built a bluetooth speaker and mounted it ontop of the steering volumn and on the console is a button to what nobody knows.
The person who checked the vette for me was unable to get anybody to open the car for him.
What gives???
Just found out the call i received this morning was not the salesperson but a lady asking me if how i would rate my experience with them. Boy did i give her a mouthful because the right hand has no clue what the left hand is doing.

Reason: Spelling
I still have not heard from them so i sent an e-mail to their main office in Charlotte. I wonder if i will get a response.
My buddies think that when i said that i was going to have the vette checked out they ran for cover.
So now i will have to start my quest elsewhere.
Sorry to hear about your troubles Alan....but that's about par for the course with City Chevrolet especially when it comes to corvette buying/servicing.
I went in a few months ago inquiring about the C7Z, and they acted like it was this big exclusive list to get on in order to get one, then another older sales guy came out and said that all of the first allocations were spoken for and nothing could be special ordered. A few days later my buddy tells me he went in there and got on the list of top 5 to get the new Z as soon as they arrive without even having to put money down.
I bought my GS from a Hendrick Cadillac Dealership in Raleigh. They gave me a certificate for free oil changes so I took it to Jeff Gordon Chevy in Wilmington. I told the service guy that it took a specific oil filter (dry sump). I checked when I got home and of course they messed it up. When I called they said I could bring it back (yea right). I put it on my buddies lift and tried to get the filter off but they had put it on so tight I had to destroy it to remove it.
Lesson learned and experience passed on. Find somewhere else to go.
Yeah, i need to study up on how to change it in my z06. Nervous about taking it to any dealer. I planned ahead and purchased about 6 cases of mobil 1 from costco when it was on sale a couple of months back.
I really cannot believe the call i receivec, i felt like i was buying a Mercedes and not a Vette. They couldn't have been nicer and took care of my every need. Even though i missed out on the Velocity Yellow vette in Charlotte
they found a vette for me in Kansas and had it del within 4 days for my inspection without a signature on my part. When the vette arrived they told me that they were going to go through it and then detail it first.
Bottomline it was perfect and even had brand new runflats and they gave me a 12 month bumper to bumper warranty and free maintenance for two years just to say that they were sorry.
I've had 4 recent interactions with the service department and have had problems every time. The first time, I was dealing with the problem with my power seats, and the guy suggested I read the manual. This after I had spent about an hour with the guy at the Corvette museum trying to get it figured out. 2 other times, they messed up on communication, once not even making the appointment they had said they were going to do...so I had to bring the car back another day.
The last time I went in to get a seat issue (with the presets) looked at, they put 2-4 miles on the car driving it around. When I first asked the service manager why they would even drive the car for something like that, he hemmed and hawed and said he would look at the video. After about 10 minutes of my trying to make clear that there was NO reason they should have put that many miles on the car, he "suddenly" remembers that they do a 27 point inspection on EVERY car there that comes in, and that includes driving it around. Oh...and the seat issue was never fixed...the mechanic hadn't read the notes...or they were incomplete..so he was looking at the wrong thing with the seat.
I think that was BS, and frankly will not be taking my car back for service at Hendricks.
