Anyone going to next month show on the 18/19? The link for the info: http://www.corvetteexpo.com/ Sure hope it's better than last fall show was now that it's back to just 1 show!! The way the weather here in east Tennessee has been it could be snowing or 70 degrees!!!
I wondered if this was worth going to. I wouldn't mind picking up some parts or accessories if there are a descent number of vendors, and of course seeing some nice Corvettes. I have a house at Douglas Lake so it is a short drive over so I might go. It will either be Sevierville or SCCA races at Road Atlanta that weekend.
We'll end up at the "island' again this year for food and fun.
Byron told me today that the car show is actually almost over booked, the vendors will be there as per usual (everything from old stuff to new stuff) and the Saturday auction has a lot of pre registered cars. (around 100 cars)
The weather has been in the 70's all this week and next weekend looks abut 10 degrees cooler with 'spotty' showers. All the trees and flowers are starting to bloom and the cruise should be colorful.
For those coming down from Kentucky, check alternative routes other than I-75. There is a Northbound detour due to a rock slide near the Kentucky line. (La Foliete). Coming south should be a small delay, going north may be a problem (going home)
Never been on a Friday, but it looks like the best day weather wise. I really enjoy just walking around looking the park and show cars on Saturday. Will the number of cars be a lot smaller on Friday vs Saturday?

No, because of the cruise Friday night there has always been a great turnout.
I'll be up there Friday afternoon. Might try to do the road tour this year. I plan on staying in Pigeon Forge all weekend.
Hey H P. Do you remember an old friend called Frodo? Red C4. I'll look for you Friday afternoon. Been a long time. I hang out in the C7 section now. Still have the C4 but have added a new '15 Shark Grey Stingray to my garage. . I look forward to seeing you again.
My wife and I drove our '88 dark red metallic Vette up from SC through the mountains up to Gatlinburg today so we could tourist around a little tomorrow before going to the Expo on Friday. We have always come on Saturday before so will be interesting to see the difference. Looking forward to seeing the wide variety of Vettes there. It was interesting that we did not see a single Vette of any year on the road today coming from SC to TN so we didn't get to wave. I did have a guy come up to me when we stopped for lunch asking about the car. Expecting to need lots of waves by Friday. Hope everyone is safe!
Look me up folks. I'll be leading the cruise Friday night, and working with John Llewellyn during the day selling stuff for Vettes. On Saturday, I'll be driving auction cars.
Must be nice to get to drive the auction cars even if you are just sitting in them for a few minutes and hardly moving at all. When I bought my Vette, I stopped on the way home to text my son. The message was "The ride home is worth the price!" Enjoy!
