I live in the Asheville, NC area and am looking for recommendations of a good Corvette mechanic. I have some weird headlight issues and need someone who has explored that area enough times to not have to just start replacing things randomly. If anyone knows of a shop that they have used or heard great things about, let me know. Thanks.

Have you post your headlight problem. Most of the time it’s an easy fix. I had to replace the wire harness that holds the socket. The socket got so hot over the time it melted. Was an easy fix.

Thanks for the response. My issue is that I have a driver's side headlight motor that continues running indefinitely after the car is turned off. I have to pull the wiring harness apart while the car is still running to keep it from continuing to run after I shut it off. I have even tried pulling out what I believe to be the appropriate headlight fuse from the fusebox under the hood, and it keeps running. I have been through the plastic gear changes, but this is a different animal.

Chris I guess I should had asked what type of Vette you have. I am guessing a C-5. I suggest you go to the C-5 Tech Forum or General Information section and post there. I can almost guarantee you can get some help there. I have an C-6 and we don’t have the pop up lights our problems is with the pitted/hazy lens cover which cost about $400 for a new set. Good luck.

My car is a C4 1994, and you are right that I should have this in another part of the Forum. I'm new to this site and am still finding my way around. Thanks.
