Just started looking for a '68
I see quite a few of them f/s, well, maybe not a lot, being I just started my search, but they ARE out there- they're just too far away. When I lived in NY, I searched for over 2 years, and must have traveled several thousand miles before I found my '66. I'm here in (Central) FL now. My '75 was bought less than 5 miles away, in my home town from an acquaintance. Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about. 
But what I've done in the past won't happen again. All that driving hours upon hours to see prospective purchases, and staying in hotels overnight, only to be disappointed by yet another not as advertised "mint" offering, then going home all moody and whatnot- that is behind me. There may not have been so many overnight stays, but it sure did feel like there were.
I'd like my search to end up close to home. I may not be looking for my next door neighbor to knock on my door and tell me he's selling exactly what I'm looking for, but that wouldn't be too shabby, right?
What are my chances, I say! What are my chances.
